Rosa Barahona

When we met Rosa she was helping her mother sell cakes and other refreshments they made. She enjoyed the work, but this job wasn't leading her towards the big dreams she has for her future. Although Rosa is young, she has a lot of responsibility to support her son. Her goal is to get her high school diploma and then go on to become a preschool teacher.

FAVORITE CHILDHOOD MEMORY

When we were young my dad would let us play late at night. He would wake us up at 3am and say ‘When you see the sun you need to be back at the house.'
