Meet the maker

Layet Nancy

Gulu, Uganda Krochet Kids Intl.

Crocheter

Nancy was abducted at the age of 12 by the rebel army. While in the captivity, she was traumatized dramatically by the amount of violence and bloodshed she witnessed. Eleven years later, she managed to escape from the rebels where she was then taken to a rehab center. Nancy says that because of living in the captivity with the LRA, she was very fearful of others; however, after being apart of the KK Uganda family, she can now easily associate with others and she has a new hope for her future.
