Lamwaka Harriet

Before joining the program Harriet had a small business knitting sweaters on a contract basis for the local schools. She liked the work but struggled to make ends meet when contracts were scarce. Now at KNOWN SUPPLY, Harriet is using her job, education and mentorship to take her previous livelihood to the next level. After saving enough money she plans on buying a knitting machine and opening up a store to sell her products in.

FAVORITE CHILDHOOD MEMORY

When I was a child I would imagine I was cooking for big groups of people. I actually learned how to cook through playing this way.

INTERESTS & HOBBIES

I like making friends, going to church and sight-seeing around Uganda.

LOVE DEFINED

To me, love is sharing everything you have with others. It means being peaceful with those around you.
