As a single mother of five, Catherine found that feeding her children was not an easy task. The only place where she could get assistance from was her church which eventually led to her involvement in the KK Uganda program. When asked how the program has changed her life Catherine replied,Being involved with KK Uganda has greatly influenced my life and that of my children. Before the program, I used to dig and weed other people's gardens to earn some cash for feeding my children, and I used to wander in the bushes to look for firewood. Crocheting changed everything for the better. I can now buy firewood, buy food, and have my children fed at least twice a day. I have been able to pay my children’s school fees and can put more effort to making their future better. And being in the KK Uganda work environment has really given me the peace of mind and many friends to lean on.
DREAMS FOR FUTURE
I want to save money and buy a plot of land for my children.
WHAT MAKES CROCHETING ENJOYABLE
It keeps my mind free from thoughts and makes me focused which leaves me with no room to think about things that stress up my life.
LOVE DEFINED
Love means living in harmony and caring for each other during both good and bad times.
