After being abandoned by her husband, Concy struggled financially to complete her education; however, the war in northern Uganda made it even more difficult. She was constantly on the run from the rebel army and many of her family members were killed as a result of the war. After joining KK Uganda, she claims that she now sees life as a new gift and that she is able to forgive and forget the abandonment she suffered for her husband.

DREAMS FOR THE FUTURE

My dream is to go into nursing after I finish with school. I also want to start up a business that would sustain me and my children.

I love to make jokes and study.

FAVORITE THING ABOUT NORTHERN UGANDA

The most beautiful thing about Northern Uganda is the soil fertility that facilitates agricultural activities.
