In 1999, Apiyo Margaret developed a persistent headache which forced her to drop out of school and made holding a job seemingly impossible. However, Margaret now says that the work she does and the friends she has made at KK Uganda have helped her forget her pain and to think about her healthy, bright future.

DREAMS FOR THE FUTURE

My dream is to continue to save money from the program to help me rebuild the life that I lost. I also dream of being able to afford the medical care that would free me from my pain so that I may live a normal life.

FAVORITE THING ABOUT NORTHERN UGANDA

The most beautiful about Northern Uganda is that families have reunited as a result of the prevailing peace.
