Meet the maker

Aparkwot Janet

Gulu, Uganda Krochet Kids Intl.

Crocheter

Coming from a poor family with eleven other siblings, Janet did not have an easy upbringing. The constant lack of resources and education took a toll on Janet, but her strength was enduring. Today she is learning skills and providing for herself and her family. With the income she is earns through KNOWN SUPPLY, Janet is able to put two of her younger siblings through school, as well as purchase three goats!

DREAMS FOR THE FUTURE

My future dream is to save money and buy more livestock, preferably cattle. I also want to start selling dry fish, and pay for my children and three dependents to attend school.

FAVORITE THING ABOUT NORTHERN UGANDA

My most enjoyable activity is farming, I grew up doing it. I love that the climate in Northern Uganda is very conducive and the soils are fertile for crop production.
