Anek Beatrice

Raised by a single mother during the war, Beatrice suffered a difficult childhood. Her father and mother divorced before Beatrice was born, and did not receive any support from her father. With only a mother’s small income, at the age of ten Beatrice and her siblings set out to look for work in gardens, and fetch water for people to earn a wage and help their mother. Today she feels at ease, and thankful that she and her children have access to health care and consistent meals.

DREAMS FOR THE FUTURE

I want to work very hard, save enough money, and identify a business to do some day. I want to focus on the future by ensuring that my children get good education.
