As a child, Adong Janet and her sister were forced to take care of all household chores. Although she married young to escape her current life, her husband had often struggled to earn enough money to support themselves and their family. Today, Janet is able to help her husband support their family and is saving money that she hopes to use to send her children to school.

DREAMS FOR THE FUTURE

I dream of starting my own business so that I can make enough money to send my children to school through university.

FAVORITE THING ABOUT NORTHERN UGANDA

The people of Northern Uganda are forgiving and warm, which makes it a pleasant place to live.
